The Statute Law in South Australia and the Northern Territory allows for abortions to be performed in public hospitals in specified circumstances, such as danger to the woman’s mental health and substantial risk that the child would be seriously handicapped.
However, abortions deemed legal under the different State laws are funded by the Federal government through Medicare.

Menillo, the Supreme Court ruled that state statutes similar to the Texas law challenged in Roe were constitutional to the extent that the statutes forbid nonphysicians from performing abortions.
Now if the pro-choice advocate claims that a law cannot stop all abortions, he or she makes a trivial claim, for this is true of all laws which forbid illegal acts.
Antiabortion activists could argue that the laws against threatening clinics are invalid because it's every citizen's moral duty to prevent abortions.

The unspoken reason is her vote as a Texas Supreme Court justice to uphold a state parental notification law for minors seeking abortions.

A Republican court might start upholding state laws banning late term abortions and requiring parental notification for the abortions of minors, but such laws would leave the overwhelming majority of abortions alone.
The YWCA of the USA has lobbied for "the repeal of all laws restricting or prohibiting abortions performed by a duly licensed physician and supports public funding for abortions and pre and post-abortion counseling.
