We would suggest that this activity be coordinated by the Ministry but stem from the consultative work of the rectors of the various music conservatories as well as the Rector of the Sibelius Academy.
Cooperation between the Sibelius Academy and the conservatoires and the development of their curricula has been hindered by matters of secondary importance, such as the disagreement over the qualifications required of music college teachers and lecturers.

Presently, Jim is lecturing pipe band snare drumming for the degree course in Scottish Music at the Royal School Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow.
He is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Music (where he studied composition and piano from 1963-1967) and has taught as well as conducting major concerts in the contemporary music festivals.
