What WAS surprising was that not one member of the cast were singled out by the Academy for an Oscar nomination - Mortensen would have probably lost a Best Supporting Actor nod to costar Schreiber, but both Lane and Paquin should have been up for Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress, but perhaps the film was not seen by enough Academy voters.

NBC is the second network to take advantage of Ken to boost its ratings during the crucial sweeps period, and Joan seems to be trying to ride Ken's coattails to success, but Ken has enough success to go around to 55 or maybe even 20 actors and Joan is a beautiful and fun to watch actress so we shall not complain.
Anderson, Duchovny, the series and the ensemble cast were nominated for Screen Actors Guild awards in the television drama category; Anderson won for best actress in a television drama.
