I took my jeep to a mechanic and he was suppose to fix my transmission. He charged me $500.00 for the part and $500.00 for labor. That was last year I'm on my second year with this man and I still don't have my car. He just hanging me out to dry. I'm disable and I need my jeep for transportation to get groceries and other things. I have to catch the bus and carry all these things on the bus which is very hard since my hands don't work that well carrying heavy things. He told me this month that the jeep was ready after having it for over a year. I when and purchase tags for the car which cost me $54.00 and when to his place of business and picked up the jeep got around the corner from his establishment and the jeep broke down. I call him on my cell phone for him to come and pick me up and the jeep. I gave him 3 weeks since the incident and he tells me that he hasn't looked at it yet. I have to beg, borrow and use a check cashing place to get the money together because I don't working. I get SSA diability check. I hope you can help me. I have had it up to my neck with this guy. He has worked on my car before and has gotten it done in a timely fashion but now I don't know what's wrong. Also he moved to a new address and took my jeep without telling me the address but I found out anyway. I told him I didn't want him to move my jeep to his new establishment. I wanted him to finish my jeep so I could get it and get out of his hair. Then he told me that he could get the transmission for my jeep and would I take a car that he had instead. Now their he's lied again after taking my money saying that he had the transmission for my jeep. I told him I need something to drive so I agreed. Then he turns around the next month and tells me that he found a transmission and I was so excited. I told him that I didn't want the car I wanted my jeep. He told me that it would be done next week. Next week turned into months. Can you help me get my jeep fixed or get back my $2,000 so I can take my jeep some where else to get it fixed. He has costed me nothing but money and anxiety. I had fallen and I had a hairline fracture of the right knee and the doctor made me stay in bed for a month that was in August of last year. My surgery was scheduled for September 17 of the same year. So I was laid up for a long time until it heal. I also lose my boyfriend to cancer and I wasn't think about the jeep and I informed him of everything so he kept lieing to me about the date I would get my jeep. I could go on and on with more but now you have the basic of what I'm trying to tell you. I need help. |

I was charged a repossession fee of 225 dollars but the car was not actually picked up. Is that legal even if they have their own repo guys. Also, is there a max limit to charge for a bounced check fee (such as $75?) Is that outrageous or what? I live in New Mexico |

My mac Laptop has been repaired 9 time since I bought 18 months ago. When I spoke to the company they agreed to replace it. However, they asked me to return all of the part that came in the original box which I no longer had. Over a month went by while I search for these items finally I decided to just ship back what I had. Since the tags Apple had mailed had expired my co-worker suggested that I simply fed ex it back to the company rather than wait to get new tags but make sure that the package was signature required. It was shipped next day and insured for 2500. The package was signed and when I called apple today to find out the status of my receiving the new laptop, I was told that because I didn't send it with the original tags that the returns office wouldn't have opened the box to take the laptop out, and it was probably lost in the warehouse. When I explained that I had put the original tag number on the box along with placing the a copy of the letter I received form apple in the box, I was informed that wasn't enough but they would try to find my laptop. If they coldn't find it then we would discuss what I should do then. Why wouldn't they open the box if it was sent to them and required a signature? That seems somewhat stupid to me for a large computer manufaturer. Why is there is the guy talking as though if they don't find that box that I would simply be out of a laptop. I think Apple should still have to give me a laptop to replace the one I shipped to them. The box was insured and my laptop covered under the Apple Care Protection Plan which has another 18 months before it expries. What are my options? |

Twice now the cops have come into my trailer while I was at work without my permission to look for my son once and another time for his girlfriend. He has not lived here for over 3 years because the trailer park kicked him out for being in to much trouble. Is it legal for the cops to search my trailer with now permission while I am at work? |

I was wondering, if you could tell me what would be the best way to act in the following case: A young friend of mine has missed his court date for a hit and run, because he was drunk. He started drinking after his mother killed herself and he -thats my personal opinion- mostlikely suffers a dual disorder (PTSD and substance abuse). What would be the so called "smart move" for him to better his chances with the court now? |
