need a good humidifyer for horizontal forced hot air gas system located in attic over ranch.

Do the humidifiers help combat the de-humidifying effect of forced air heat...and why is it that there are cool spots in a forced heat arrangement? Is it possible the vents are not strategically placed or not enough?
