Tube amps are almost always balanced on their outputs because they have an output transformer.
That's why tube matching is much more important in amps with a single or no bias adjustments than in amps where the bias of each tube can be individually adjusted.
Quality tube amps hold their value, with vintage amps demanding a high price.

Some transistor amps may have an input section with a saturation circuit, to simulate the characteriscs of a tube preamp.
A technician who works with only tube amps will usually refer to the voltage which sets the operating current in the tubes.
