Those so called "little spider bites everyone is getting". My question is who do I call regarding the outbreak of something so serious and deadly as this. My son has had it 2x's in a row. They are both in on parole violations. What is up on this deadly disease, and why are they not treating it? You can actually die from this. Everything an exposed inmate touches can contaminate another, including deputies. They have people sleeping on floors right after one another. I am now receiving the hospital bills. I was under the assumption that it is the jail's responsibility to cover any expenses required for my well-being/safety/etc. The same thing happened to me during a previous period of incarceration, and I never received any bills nor was I asked to pay anything. Am I liable for the medical bills even though I wouldn't have needed emergency services if I hadn't been in custody?
