If you want good techno, listen to the Aphex Twins because at least they know what they're doing.
Some would try to categorise Aphex Twin as "ambient," "electronica," "intelligent dance music," "jungle," or even "noise.
The tracks I've heard so far are of the Experimental / Ambient nature and could possibly fall into the same category as Aphex Twin.
