Canadians all share a sense of deep pride in our honourable and determined Armed Forces but we are embarassed and ashamed of the way successive governments have reduced their capability and value by failing to provide them with the equipment and support they need to do the job for us.
The Armed Forces at one time had at least 20,000 carrier pigeons in service and at the height of the war as many as one hundred birds a day were carrying messages for Canadian troops.
The Canadian Armed Forces continues to make a difference in Bosnia — a difference of which all Canadians can be justifiably proud.
