The axles were barely strong enough to support the weight of the frame and batteries, sagging almost to the ground, and the wheels were not mounted securely enough to the axles to prevent air leaks and slipping of the drive axle.
All driven axles have to have a differential to make it possible in turns to send more rpm and more torque to the outside wheel and l ess rpm and less torque to the inside wheel of a turn.
Shouldered axles are replaceable.
