There was a time you know when bands played in jeans and a plain t-shirt and that was it but the music was important.
These bands played some sort of synthpop, but they also used other instruments.
I've played his music in bands I have been in as well.

Rick Thum had played trumpet in high school and drums and guitar in rock bands when his interest in traditional music was sparked by buying a hammered dulcimer on a whim.
He have played in divers bands and made already four solo albums on which he plays all of the instruments and vocals.
