I'm trying to help a University Student. She moved to Kelowna from ON to attend UBCO. Her first accommodation was in a motel she rented for $700/mo. There was no heat, no Internet hookup, no telephone, as verbally promised when the reservation was made. After one week, she found a permanent place to live. The Motel's weekly rate is $350 (verified by telephone inquiry). She is asking for $350 refund after staying only one week. The manager is balking. How does she take this to the Small Claims Court? reply to roymaur@shaw.ca
