What is of issue is that many Muslims today read these verses thinking that it depicts true Christianity and are hence left with a distorted portrait of Christian Trinitarian beliefs.
It is imperative for the Christian witness to Muslims to be aware of these straw men and to be able to demonstrate that they are falsehoods not indicative of true Christian Trinitarian beliefs.
Muslims believe that prayer reinforces belief in Islam because it reduces the likelihood of disobeying God by committing sins.
