my cat has an abscess on his face. It has drained twice but isn't going away. Do I have to take him to the vet? It is very expensive and I can't afford it.

hello. i adopted a male , un-neutered cat. the story is that was groomed as an indoor cat. i was told that the owners came by this cat by reasons other than WANTING a cat. they did not allow this cat in the house. he is very loving and was obviously someones very close companion as he cant stand to be alone or out of eye sight of people. since he was an indoor cat i would think he has had all his shots. iwell, he bit me about 4 days ago. it didnt really bleed and it was hardly more than a scrape but today it is a little sore around the wound but only a little red on one side of it.but, i was pulling and streching the wound a little to see if puss came out. none did and it really doesnt hurt except for where i was messing with it.. do you think i sould see the docter right away or wait a day and see if it gets worse. it really doesnt hurt except where i was manipulating it all day yesterday.what should i do?

My cat was in a fight with a neighbors cat and now one of his legs appears to be stiff and somewhat lame. I don't see any wound. He is sleeping more than usual. He is mostly an indoor cat, going outside in a fenced yard. He cannot get out but other cats are able to climb the wood fence and get in. 2 questions: will he get well by himself or does he need an expensive trip to the vet? How can I keep other cats from climbing the wood fence and entering my yard? I live in a rainy part of the country so it's hard to believe that any chemical deterrent would last. Thanks.

i had a cat for 7 years and had its shots at 2 yrs, it was asthmaic and later died, well i put it to sleep, cause after this episode it wouldnt eat, but i have had breathing problems since then, she bit and clawed me when i was trying to give her her medications, no doctor seems to believe me that i cant breath, and this all started after this whole thing with my cat. I have done medical tests and they are ok, and i dont know how what the cause of my breathing issurs are, but i know they started right after this cat thing, i cant find anything to say this is somthing on it cause i know it is, this has gone on since last july, but if i am on water pills or antibiotics i can breath ok. please help
