The Black Death plague outbreaks of 1348-9, 1361-2 and 1369 inflicted severe social dislocation (the King lost a daughter to the plague) and caused deflation; severe laws were introduced to attempt to fix wages and prices.

Across the chest was a plain black leather pouch belt with brass rosette, chains and oval picker plate and the pouch was worn fitted with a white metal deaths head as on the Shako only smaller.

Unlike death ,black metal is very melodic with an ambient subtext which shows in everything from dark symphonic synth to medieval flute pieces together with metal guitars as pioneered by the first few black metal bands like Venom and Bathory.
The band is in Black Lake Studios recording a new CD for Necropolis featuring tracks like Death Metal Attack Part 3, Shockwaves and March of the Engorged.
There is a new Christian death/black/power metal fanzine on the horizon, they are looking for demos and albums from bands who wish to be included in our first issue.

Many goths listen to types a of music such as death metal or black metal but they would not be called goth.
We are more death than the black metal bands, more technical than the death bands, heavier and more brutal than the technical bands, and yet more straight-up than some of the more bizarre acts in the area like meatjack.
This is a curious mixture of Death and black metal mixed up with a Gothic leaning and a Vampire interest.
