Write is a program that writes a custom Boot sector from a binary file to floppy disk.
Is it possible to install NT without using boot disks or temp files?
Boot Manager can load any system from any volume on any disks, provided that the system is smart enough to initialize properly.

I could boot the laptop from the floppy drive with the Windows recovery boot disk, but the drivers wouldn't load for the CD ROM drive while it was out of the multi-bay port.
Cleaning up a boot sector virus can be performed by booting the machine from an uninfected floppy system disk rather than from the hard drive, or by finding the original boot sector and replacing it in the correct location on the disk.
