As I was walking towards Larry's Candy Store on 166th Street and Sherman Avenue, two boys crossed over and each one fell in beside me.
The small boys diving for coins off the Oak Bluffs SSA dock are all small boys of the Island and Larry Heppler is all crabbers.
Larry has managed to not only capture my boys all looking at the camera, but make some terrific photos!

Larry and the boys have been at the barn all week, making a few improvements!
Larry assisted the boys to be in the summer job program; helped them to be involved in sports, especially basketball and swimming; encouraged them to read books in the public libraries rather than roaming around the streets.
Larry Beltran asked the three boys who their parents were and where they lived.

Larry and Mark are fly fisherman and every time we stopped to fish, the boys put on their fishing vests and off they would go.

The Home was founded by Larry and Betty Bartels in 1993 in a rented facility in the suburbs of Lima with ten boys who were released from a government home that was closing.
At Larry's memorial service, in lieu of flowers, it was requested that donations be made to the Boy Scouts.
