My relative had spine surgery for cancerin back. Now no pain in back but extreme pain in ribs where they shot her with medicine. 17 days post op.
SWhat can she do? use a tens machine??? Refer to pain clinic. She cannot get out of bed without someone rolling her over and getting her into her back support brace. Please help! Thank you! |

what type of doctor should be seen for broken rib. I went to my general doctor and had xrays taken and his response was "possibly..broke rib. this is a terrible pain and twice he has prescribed pain meds that don't work. |

I think I have broken a rib by coughing. I understand that there is little treatment available. My concern is that I periodically have a painful and audible "pop" in my chest". Could the rib be "separated"? Is it possible that the wrong move could puncture a lung? |

is it normal to feel strange hot cold pains following popping and crackling in the chest? When I stay up for a certian amount of time my chest feels swollen and feels tight and my heart pounds. I've had broken ribs for two years now and I don't know what to do. Is rest the only thing that will fix this? and also when i cough and breathe a certian way it looks as though a little pocket below my collar bone inflates and it feels tight

My dad died last week. fractured multiple ribs,lacerated liver, then bled to death!blood in his eye also. would it be possible after hurting yourself that bad to go in the house up 3or 4 stairs and casually get a glass of water? how long would it take to be screaming or rithing in pain? he died at 9:00 pm coroner said the wound was 3 hours old.
