Democrats control the county election canvassing boards in all four Florida counties that have conducted or want to conduct manual recounts (Broward, Palm Beach, Miami-Dade, and Volusia) and they were obviously chosen for vote recounts because they will yield more votes for Gore.
In Dade and Broward County -- both controlled by Democrats -- hundreds of voters were turned away because poll workers could not figure out how to operate the new electronic voting machines that were supposed to solve their party’s inability to vote correctly in 2000.
Gore victories in Broward and Palm Beach counties made the overall totals for the counties examined favor Gore by 56 to 42 percent.
