I am trying to find some information out to see if my grandmother was registered with a tribe before she passed. It is said she was 1/4 Cherokee. I need to see if I am Native American for foster care perposes. Could you lead me in the right direction please? Barbara

I want to know were my great grandma is she is full blooded Cherokee.all I know is her last name is otis.She gave up my grandma and her brother up to a farmer.In hillsdale Michigan thay just wanted them for farm work back then and treated them bad.If You could find out what happen to my great grandma I would appreciate it.Are family tree is lost because they were adoptid all out.
