Hayden Christensen's emoting as the teenaged Anakin is awful (although, given the general wooden qualities of everyone else in the movie, I am willing to blame director Lucas for that), but the character of Anakin is awful in and of itself.

Hayden Christensen played a much older Anakin Skywalker, but I was not too crazy about how he played the part as well as how Anakin was written.
Hayden Christensen is even worse then Portman but does a good job of annoying you, and he does have his moments.
