Keep the Christmas tree lights on the upper 3/4 of the tree only to prevent low hanging cords that may tangle when your dog jumps excitedly around the tree, or wags its tail in the tree.
If I had known that hanging Christmas lights would cause me pain and suffering, I wouldnt have attended Christmas decorating day at my mother in laws.
