The survey results determined that only 25% of high schools surveyed required a course in Civics as part of the Social Studies curriculum.
It was also restated that morality is part of growth, and that civics, which was previously taught and examined in school, should be reinstated into the school curriculum.
As part of their unit of study on Civics and Community issues, the students identified important places and resources in their community that would be helpful for new immigrants to know about.
