PALI was invited to testify before the Chicago Board of Elections on May 22nd and before Cook County Clerk David Orr on September 5th about PALI’s aggressive initiative and PALI’s resulting recommendations to Greater Chicago’s government election authorities.
Cook was identified as a tax protester because he mailed typical tax protester materials to the Department of Revenue declaring he was not subject to the income tax and filed documents with the Darlington County Clerk of Court claiming he was not a citizen of the United States.
Cook County Clerk David Orr and his key Elections staff began a similar outreach program after a productive meeting with the PALI group.

Former Deputy Traffic Court Clerk Harold Conn became the first defendant to be convicted in FBI Chicago's Operation Greylord investigation into corruption in the Cook County Circuit Court.
Late yesterday David Orr, Clerk of Cook County, filed a lawsuit in Cook County Circuit Court against Libertarian candidate Stephanie Sailor, Republican candidate Les Golden, and the Illinois State Board of Elections.
According to the Cook County Circuit Clerk's Office, Ewers was sentenced to 30 days in jail and two years' probation.

A former Democrat Aurelia is currently the Clerk of the Circuit Court and is the Republican candidate for President of the Cook County Board.
Cook County Clerk David Orr and Chicago Board of Elections Chair Longdon Neal expressed their interest in working with PALI to implement these recommendations and to make voting easier for the Polish American community.
