As an option to meet the needs of those Windows users who require Indeo codecs, Ligos has created an enhanced bundle of the Indeo codecs called Indeo XP for Windows.
Codecs exist for all kinds of compressed video, including DV, motion-JPEG, MPEG, Indeo, Cinepak, Sorensen, wavelet, fractal, RealVideo, vXtreme, and many others.
Indeo codecs are distributed "as is" for use with applications that require these codecs for media playback.

Indeo XP for Windows As an option to meet the needs of those Windows (all versions) users who require Indeo codecs, Ligos has created an enhanced bundle of the Indeo codecs called Indeo XP for Windows.
Note regarding Indeo Codecs Legacy Package for Windows 95, 98, NT and 2000 Free versions of Indeo and the Indeo Codecs Legacy Package for Windows are no longer available.
With the September 2002 update to Windows XP (known as Service Pack 1), Microsoft suspended distribution of the Indeo codecs as a base part of its operating system.
