We prefer windows media services due to the rights management component however we can encode for output in any of the major codec's (real, QT, wm)
Note that you will need to install the MediaXW (Media Extension for Windows) codecs to play Ogg files with SlowView.

MTI can compress media utilizing codecs for Quicktime, Windows Media Player, and Real Player.
This package can be used as an alternative to automatically downloading Windows Media Codecs or to correct problems with previously downloaded codecs.
Windows Media 9 Series Codec Install Package is used to install the latest Windows Media codecs.

We have not installed any extra audio CODECs yet, so check with us if you use anything except PCM, MP3, or Windows Media audio.
Results are usually better than Windows Media Player with an MPEG2 codec installed.
The Windows Media Player should automatically download any needed codecs (these are needed to view certain video formats)

But yeah, updating your Windows Media Video/Audio codecs should fix any problems.
