It is the intent of the General Assembly that the Community College System make these financial aid funds available to the neediest students who are not eligible for other financial aid programs that cover their required educational expenses.
Grant funds are committed to serving the dual roles of enhancing curriculum in natural resources technology programs at community colleges and providing an information network for the region and the nation.
The funds are intended to help these individuals acquire skills to enter new or supplemental income-generating occupations, and to help put their dependents through college with financial support that can no longer be solely derived from the growing of tobacco.

Foundation funds are managed by Trustees for the benefit of the growth and development of the College and are dispensed for use in meeting college goals and objectives, in addition to the resources allocated by established funding sources.
Undesignated funds are usually treated as endowment and only a portion of their earnings are spent each year, but the College trustees can vote to spend undesignated monies for specific purposes.
These funds will be used for unrestricted operating expenses to help promote job opportunities and career resources to college students and graduates through this web site.
