Yesterday I colored my hair which is short and was almost platinum grey. I used Light Ash Bblonde Excellence. My hair is now much darked than I wanted it. I just used Loreal Preference- Medium Brown to return my hair to its natural color, (if I can remember its natural color!), and I'd like to add chunky blonde pieces to get that real dramatic look. I saw that you have a chunky highlighting kit but wondered if it's possible to use on hair that is just colored. If so, when would or could I do it and would there be any tips considering that I just threw in an overall dark color? |

Yesterday I colored my light brown/dark blonde hair with Loreal Excellence Cream shade Medium Brown, and it turned almost black, and was splotchy, the roots looked good, but the blonder parts were almost black. I went and got a Loreal Preference Light brown to try and lighten it up today, however, it did take out the black look, but it it still way too dark, and the splotches are still there, what can I do to fix this, I want to have a light brown color, without the splotches...What can I do? Should I just wait it out and see if some of the color fades, and then in a week or so try to go lighter? Please if anyone can help I would really appreciate it. Thanks |

I am transitioning my color treated hair from auburn to dark blonde. The dark blonde still had a lot of reddish tones in it, so I applied L'Oreal Tone Refiner about 3 weeks after coloring. For all those red/orange tones that grab your hair when trying to go to a "too light blonde shade" nothing works beter then a toner redken shades eq is the best if you can get it .Select a toner marked N for nuetral to nuetralize the red/ warmth. Ash colors help control warmth but sometimes can leave a greyish color. and always remember the store colors only lift 1-2 shades its because of the developer used in the boxes and never trust the color on the cover of the box, the charts on the back are useful . |

I need help. I had been dying my hair bleach blonde but got tired of it and wanted to go darker. I put a light ash blonde on it but it turned dark gray. I have a new hairdresser and my roots are now not quite light enough and brassy.It needs to be a shade lighter and not orangey. She is using 10.1 and 40 vol. My hair is naturally dark brown. I have no idea what combo my old hairdresser used. PLEASE HELP |

Hi, I'm in Canada and have been using Loreal Excellence AA13 for many years with excellent results. This shade has now been discontinued. What produce does Loreal recommend as a replacement that will produce the same results? |

I have medium blonde champagne (dyed hair) my natural is a dark blonde. I feel like it is too bright and want to go a sandy ashy blobde with some lighter cooler blobde highlights. Everytime I explain it to my hairdresser it never turns out right it either goes too ashy and ends up looking dull and gray or looks too golden and bright with an orangey tone. I want it to look natural but not dull as I am fair-skinned and dark colours do not suit me. Any recommendations? |

My hair was all white and I used Clairol Natural Instincts #13 ~ Suede Light Brown to colour it. I thought my hair would turn light brown, but because I used the hair colour over white hair, my hair turned a beautiful medium blonde colour. I have not coloured my hair in the last six months. My white hair was showing with the blonde and my hair looked streaked. I made the mistake of using the same hair colour and now my hair is a medium brown. What do I do now to get it back to that beautiful blonde colour that I liked. Thank you. |

Ok so myhair is naturally a dark blond maybe a little warmth. I thought I wanted to go darker so I used a natural Medium brown from Loreal. Its so blah and plain!! I want to recolor to a light blond ASAP I did this 2 days ago is now to early my hair feels healthy no breakage and I didnt have any burning when I colored. |

I have had lowlights put in my dark brown hair but they are slightly orangey/brown and make my skin look orangey. Can I dye over them with a cool light brown without dying the rest of my hair and will this cool down the orange?

My hair is light ash now with gray. I used Loreal 9GR for strawberry blonde, but I think it looks too orange and too bright. How can I tone it down or change the color a little? |
