The EC Directive 89/336/EEC related to Electromagnetic Compatibility and states that "Member States are responsible for providing adequate protection for radio communications and the devices, apparatus or systems whose performance may be degraded by electromagnetic disturbance produced by electrical or electronic apparatus against the degradation caused by such a disturbance.

Binary compatibility is achieved by converting Windows EXE and DLL files (applications are made of those) into the format that OS/2 uses.
For backward compatibility to the configuration directives of other SSL solutions we do an on-the-fly mapping: directives which have a direct counterpart in mod_ssl are mapped silently while other directives lead to a warning message in the logfiles.
