Student Council is a student government organization comprised of class officers, council officers and class representatives, all of whom are elected by fellow students.
Student societies are sometimes referred to as student governments, student unions, or student councils.
Student Council is a representative group of the student body which organizes, coordinates and runs a variety of social, service and spirit activities throughout the school year.

The Research Councils/ funding bodies require the institutions to which they give grants to provide adequate research training to postgraduate students.
Disability Statements are meant to inform prospective and actual disabled students of the provision that is available and the funding councils of the nature and extent of the provision.
Students who are, for example, doing a year of voluntary service between College and University or who are competing at national or international level in sport may apply to the student Council for financial support.
