Governance in Erie County is the first major product of The Governance Project, an effort of the University at Buffalo to marshal data, monitor trends, and analyze information on structures and issues of governance in the Western New York region.
Chiampou is a faculty member at the State University of New York at Buffalo Tax Program and a member of the New York State Certified Public Accountants and the Erie County Bar Association.
Additional services include weatherization assistance to income eligible Erie County residents outside of the City of Buffalo and an Enriched Housing Program which provides congregate living arrangements for frail elderly.

Erie County has a smoke-free regulation in force that restricts smoking in the indoor dining area of restaurants but not in the bar area or in stand alone bars or taverns, Niagara County does not have such a regulation and smoking is permitting without restriction in bars and in separate smoking sections in restaurants.
To examine ambient nicotine levels in venues where smoking is permitted and where smoking is not permitted in Erie and Niagara Counties to provide an assessment of the impact of smokefree regulations on decreasing levels of secondhand smoke.
