The North Fairmount Habitat Restoration Project is the continuance of a Greenway Demonstration Project that was initiated by the Mill Creek Watershed Nonpoint Source Prevention and Reduction Program sponsored by the Mill Creek Restoration Project in partnership with Butler County Soil and Water Conservation District.
Working with US EPA beginning in 1999, MCRP has created a process with other partners for developing a Mill Creek Watershed Action Plan that will assist attainment of water quality standards and designated uses for watershed streams.
Use community-based planning to actively engage people most affected by Mill Creek problems in the development of watershed action strategies and the implementation of greenway, water quality, ecosystem restoration and educational programs.
