BRUSHLESS DC MOTORS The obvious advantage these motors have is the elimination of periodic down time to replace worn brushes of ordinary DC motors.
Brian Mengel,
Civil Servant

All Pittman DC motors can be customized to meet specific application requirements and are performance validated prior to shipment.
The system measures characteristics of DC Motors and provides validation of functional performance and subjective quality.
There were industrial applications too and during this era variable transformers were used to control larger DC motors used in large printing and textile lines.
Jake Farley,
Truck Driver

Precise DC servo motors drive rack and pinion gears at variable speeds to provide accurate motion in any direction.
Dave Simons,
Internet Entrepeneur

FAS T Servo Motors provide high dynamic performance characteristics coupled with automated production techniques, to offer the customer established brushless motor performance advantages and traditional dc servo system economy.
These precision servos use dc gear head motors of various configurations to meet customer requirements ranging from theater lighting shutters to engine throttle actuators in large test installations.
All Units are fitted with fully variable DC Motors and Control Units for infinitely variable speeds, and the thickness of the web can be controlled by fully adjustable wedges, manually controlled prior to locking.

How can we change dc motor's cycle direction? I mean which parameters will change?

I'm in the mining enviroment. We replaced a wheel motor (dc motor) on an "Haul truck" which at first failed mechanicly. The replaced motor lasted 7 hours before it flashed. Could you explain what could be electrical wrong with a DC motor that last 7 hours and then it flashed? We could'nt find anything wrong with the control system, except that the voltage limit was 10% out (880V instead of 800v). Could that be the problem or could there be a fault on the motor? And what could the fault be to run fault free for 6 hours and then fail? Bad workmanship on the motor?
Got a question? Got an answer? Let's hear it!
