In Toronto yesterday, the Canadian Coalition Against the Death Penalty announced the launch of an international tourism boycott of Texas to try to win clemency for Faulder.
This is reflected in the number of state moratorium campaigns: 19 of 38 states with the death penalty have/have had such campaigns, including Texas and Nevada.
Members of JPI and the Death Penalty Working Group worked diligently in the Spring of 2000 to gather resolutions calling for a moratorium on the death penalty in Texas.
