The provincial parks offer pristine lakes and glorious sandy beaches for fishing, boating, golfing, windsurfing or canoeing as well as a wide variety of wildlife such as whitetail deer, moose, black bear, caribou and elk.
Deer, elk and turkey can be seen sometimes at the fringes of the park and in the nearby Zuni Mountains to the northwest.
