Q3DemoTest is not a release demo or beta version of Quake3:Arena -- it is a test release designed to help id improve gameplay and eliminte bugs that inlcludes both single-player (botmatch) and multiplayer modes.
TimeSplitters was more of a technological demo of what the PS2 was capable of, featuring decent graphics at the time, and focusing more upon the multiplayer battles for the prime source of entertainment rather than the storyline of the single player mode.
This demo will include support for single player and multiplayer, weighing in with a tutorial, two single player levels, a cinematic level and two multiplayer levels.

As promised, Codemasters today released a public single player demo (the multiplayer demo was released last week) for Project IGI2: Covert Strike, the upcoming multiplayer shooter developed by Innerloop.
The multiplayer demo will also include all of the revamped single-player demo missions.

The multiplayer demo for Battlefield 1942 featured only the Wake Island map and the Japanese and American teams represented within.

The ship demo from ver 1 has been ported to ver 2 and includes 15 new weapons and a very good multiplayer deathmatch gameplay.
We will probably do a combined single-player and multiplayer demo at the same time as the multiplayer demo, but the combined demo will be mostly intended for cover mounts.
This demo does not nclude the Save/Load, Multiplayer or player Profile features found in the retail game.
