Daniel was thrown into a lion's den overnight when he persisted in praying to God after the decree that all were to worship Nebuchadnezzar.
He was thrown into a den of lions by some jealous rulers who claimed he had broken the law by worshiping God.
Thereupon Daniel was cast into the den of lions; a stone was placed at the mouth of the den and sealed with the king's seal.
