Phil Donahue was pretty obnoxious, but you can't deny he was groundbreaking and controversial and that he shed some serious light on topics most people shy away from for the sake of PC-ism.
I remember quite vividly coming home from school and having to sit down and watch a business man on the Phil Donahue Show explain what a fax was, and why it was going to change business forever.
