my husband ,me and my two kids moved to atwood IL in oct we are living with my father in law and my husbands stepmother they told us things would be better for us here than tennesse but now we dont want to be here his father has a drinking problem and i fight with him all the time .His step mother left and is not comming back till we are gone we want to go home but we dont have enough money yet i no longer have parents they are running from the law and left me with there $120.000bond please help Iemailed Oprah also mabe someone cann helpme please. I saw todays show and I am so sick of these type of shows where the wifes dont know what to do when it comes to their cheating husbands.I truel dont know where these people come from,[or] where their pride and backbone has gone to!My husbands you know what would be gone and I know he knows he best not ever come around me ever again.My qusetion is,What in the heck is wrong with these women of the world today that fought for equial rights and the burning of the bras,That would lay down and take this crap from a man ? |

My first time, ever,to write, but am sick over this. My Granddaughter has a
six yr. old son & 5mo. old daughter. She came home from work & cought her husband on a porno site with his pants down, both children asleep ( in same room) She has moved in with her Mom ( not ideal) she can't find any help in her city for housing, etc...... can you help\\\\!!!!!!! I'm praying for a solution, since I'm in another state.

I have been beat by my Ex-husband since 1984 I left with my children has been in hiding here sice 1999 and me and my children are tired. I can't turned to my family because I don't know them because he kept me from them and not I don't have a relationship with my sister's and brother because I don't know them. and I'm very scared to see them. I have sufferd from breast cancer. and now I have congested heart failure. and I almost died in January and I just don't feel loved. or feel like there is no one here for me but this lady I met at my local church. Me and my children are in hiding because if my husband find out where we are at he's gonna beat me even worse then he did when I had my breast taken off. he beat me five minutes after I came down from surgery. We are all scared of him. I have a Daughter and two sons. and we have been here in hiding since october 1999. Can you help me please. |

I need help ASAP
My name is Kally Mitchell and I live in a small town of Hardinsburg Indiana. I am writing you in regards of a two year old that may have her life torn apart because of false accusations that have been made towards her family and of discrimination acts that have also been taking place of the family involved. There has been so much done to this family and it is sad how things are turning out and I need your help. I have watched your show on many occasions and I admire you for all that you do I am sorry to say but we do not know who else to turn to. We have tried for lawyers but cannot afford one. We have tried for free lawyers and for this kind of case we cannot find one. We plead for you to help us save this little girl from anymore harm that may come to her.
I will start with what I know of the situation. It all started with my sister (Sophia) who had been with her fiancé (Eli) for several years. After a year or so of their relationship, they became pregnant with there daughter Keeli (this may not be the correct spelling of her name). I lived with her, Eli, my Dad and step mom (Maria) for about six months. I moved in there about July and moved out in December. About October if I remember correctly, Sophia found out she was pregnant. She was very excited. Eli was gone a lot due to working up state or out of state doing construction. He would come home about every other weekend. It seemed when Eli was home he would always hurt and beat on my sister. But as of most people she still loved him and continued to try and make the relationship work. Sophia was about 18 then. After I moved out we did not speak for about two years. So I am not familiar with their relationship at that time. Now I live right next door to them and we spend a lot of time together now. They tell me a lot of what has been happening in this situation of theirs.
Sophia and Eli broke up several months ago and Sophia has cared for Keeli by herself. She is unable to work because of caring for her daughter, now is pregnant again and is on a high risk pregnancy. Every penny that she has gotten she has spent at least about 80% of it on her daughter. She never hits or spanks her daughter for any reason. The only way she disciplines her daughter is by speaking to her. She takes her to the doctor when needed and I have never know Keeli to have a rash or been sick when with her mother. Sophia is a good mother.
Since Sophia and Eli broke up she has practicably begged him for some support for her daughter but he continually refuses to help. There was an agreement between the two that Eli has Keeli every other weekend. He would not either show up or would take her and bring her back the next morning. Half the time he would drop her off at Sophia’s mothers. He would go out and party and do drugs such as meth and coke. I have known Eli to do drugs. I even have photos of him hitting a pipe I have received these pictures of someone that heard of the situation and gave me the pictures to have evidence against Eli. When he did bring her back Keeli would be sick and always have a bad rash and a wet or dirty diaper.
Keeli is now two years old. Sophia and Eli had tried there relationship one more time but did not succeed. That Friday Eli was gone from there home and they had broken up. Sophia was getting her things with a friend of hers. I was at home and my Dad calls to see if I would take my Maria down to get my sister, Eli and his aunt (Lisa) was trying to take Keeli with out Sophia’s permission. We should have known something was up considering they never tried to come and get her before but we just didn’t think anything of it. Well I went to get Sophia and she was scared and afraid that Eli would hit her. I told her I would not leave until he was gone and if he hit her I would take care of it. When we got there, there were a few words and was an argument over Keeli. I got out of my car when Eli stepped out of the van. I went up to them and had a few words with Lisa and later with Eli. Keeli was in the house at the time with Dad. Dad came outside and then Keeli. My sister was standing behind me and Keeli was wrapped around her leg. She seemed o.k. but wanted her mother. Eli and Lisa kept bugging my sister for Keeli and that they wanted her for a week. My sister kept refusing but eventually gave in. When she handed Keeli over to Eli she didn’t want to go. She was shaking kicking, crying and was pushing Eli (her father) away. It didn’t seem right. But I didn’t say anything. I thought she was just upset due to our arguing. Even Maria and Dad and Sophia thought it was odd but also thought the same thing. They eventually left and thought nothing else about it.
That Monday they get a call from Kathy (Eli’s mom) and it was said that Keeli had been molested, immediately they blamed Maria. Maria is Alaskan Indian of the Thicket tribe. She is not a bad person and would never do such a thing. Neither would my father or sister. Kathy and Eli’s family has always disliked Maria
Kathy told them of Keeli and said she had been ripped from the inside. But let me just say I don’t understand two things: One If Maria did this why was she ripped from the inside? To me this would be evidence that a male done this to her and Second They said they took her to the rape center that Friday night and the doctor said that it had been done within 48 hours of when he seen her but the papers from her doctor said that she had been seen that Monday so I believe that Eli’s family is covering up something or someone because they lied about the doctor and also if it’s true that it was done within 48 hours of the doctors visit (Monday) , then this would mean that she was with Eli and his family. Maria could not have done it.
Keeli was taken into foster care for a short while. Then Kathy ended up with her. Sophia has to have supervised visits and Eli is supposed to too but his mom has her so he sees her as often as he wants. I don’t understand why his mother has her in the first place. Keeli should be in foster till they investigate and prove who may have done this to her. They are jeopardizing her well-being by having her around the possible perpetrator. When Sophia sees Keeli she runs to her and when she leaves she cries frantically. Keeli still seems afraid of her father and doesn’t seem to want to be around him. Maria has even seen Keeli since this and Keeli tries to see her and cries because they won’t let Maria near her. Now correct me if I am wrong, but I don’t think a Child that has been molested would want to hug and be with the person that would have molested her. Again another sign that shows Maria could not have done this to Keeli.
We have talked to the welfare and legal persons that know of the situation and treat Maria and Sophia unfairly. They want Maria to take a lie detector test but will not test anyone else. I told Maria not to take the test because I feel that they would set her up. They have even had two lawyers tell them the same thing. We feel we will never get Keeli back and are innocent. It’s not fair for them or Keeli. This child is in danger of being molested again .We don’t know what to do. Can you help us or give us some helpful advice.
