If you are a Verizon local telephone customer, you can replace your DIRECTV Broadband service with DSL from Verizon Online.
The Verizon DSL/Frame Relay system was updated with a newer/larger/faster Cisco router.
ALLTEL is expected to continue provided DSL Internet service where Verizon currently provides it, and may expand availability to other locations.

The DSL modem is a proprietary Fujitsu Speed-port modem provided by to you by Verizon, no other DSL modem will work.
For Verizon lines you may purchase a router at you local computer/office supply store but you will still need to get Verizon's DSL modem.
