The potential range of film titles available to airlines is currently limited by cost as region 8 DVDs need to be produced specifically for airline use.

It is region-free, so it can be played in any DVD player - the slight wrinkle in this is that your DVD player must be able to render NTSC DVDs into PAL format.
The two Daria DVDs are sold and labelled as a Region One NTSC DVD, though fans have been able to play them on unmodified Region Two equipment.
Japan DVD are usually in PAL but some are region free from my understanding But, according to CD Japan the JAMC DVD will be NTSC for some strange reason.
