Greenpeace backs organic farming in Third World, March 2002 A new study commissioned by Greenpeace and undertaken by Cardiff University researcher Nick Parrott has revealed that organic agriculture has a fundamental role to play in tackling world hunger.
The year 2000 was no doubt significant in the history of the development of organic farming, with the farmers receiving the highest historic level of direct subsidies and in 2001 the law on organic farming being accepted by the Parliament.
