Wave (sound) files are compiled directly into your application's EXE file.
Sound files (such as wave files) that have been stored in the RC8650 are automatically indexed internally.
All sound files are Microsoft Wave mpeg layer-3.

Note that Meteor does not have a sound editor so you will need to make your wave files elsewhere.
You need only include wave files for the events you wish to associate a sound for, and the wave files can easily be replaced with your own sounds.

On MIDI files this is no problem, because the synthesizer on your soundcard creates waves of this kind: So the sound ends independent of the length of the MIDI note.
These files are much smaller than other formats such as wave files, yet can deliver CD quality sound.
