I would like also to raise the point that films which tackle issues that go well beyond the levels of acceptability of even the most broad minded adult can be seen without the restrictions in place that affect R18 films.

I was particularly taken with the subtlety and dark perversity of some of the films, and pleased there was very little saccharine positive imagery even if one or two films were indulgently tragic and lovesick.
When I was young my parents took me to see a lot of Alfred Hitchcock films and I just was fascinated by the fact that his films looked different than other movies.
It is hard to some up in a few words the films quality but I will say that the film will touch some members of the audience in way that no other film can and for this reason alone is one of the best films of the 90’s.
