The USDA Forest Service has received funds from the Secretary of Agriculture, as part of the USDA support of the Quincy Library Group proposal, to develop and implement these monitoring programs.
Federal land management agencies such as the USDA Forest Service, as well as local and state agencies will be developing visitor management plans in areas where heavy visitor traffic is anticipated.
The plots were established on State and private lands by each state Forestry personnel in respective states, and the USDA Forest Service personnel on Federal lands.
