The hounds were soon voicing below a tree very close to the Huntsman mounted on his 17hh thoroughbred gelding, who found himself eye to eye with the fox, which had climbed into the tree branches to escape the baying hounds.
The hounds got onto a scent but it was probably from a fox that had moved on as the hounds only went into cry intermittently.

Fox and hounds made it across another hard top road at a place we couldn't and slipped into a series of sheep pastures way uphill from where we stood on the road.
Hounds took a sharp left turn down Sadlers drive thinking it was time they found a fox, but were quickly retrieved and taken to their horse box.
