When the blower kicks on it runs for 30 seconds then shuts off for 5 seconds then runs again, it keeps doing this until furnace turns off when desired temperature is reached, is the motor going or is it just a switch.

blinking light on mine means it could be the pressure switch if it has a set of 3 flashes. There should be a sheet with the codes on your furnace.
