Lottery employees are required to attend a seminar sponsored by the Council on Problem gambling at which they are instructed about the availability of programs for gambling-related problems.
The Washington State Council on Problem Gambling is dedicated to increasing public awareness of the condition of problem gambling and increasing the availability of services for problem gamblers and their families.
The lottery is an active member of the state's Advisory Committee on Compulsive Gambling and is an institutional member of the National Council on Problem Gambling.
