Students will use signal generators, oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers in conjunction with the DSP hardware to create and analyze signals at different points in communication systems.
Such generators use the incoming video signal sync pulses as a reference point for the text insertion position, which means if the video signal is of poor quality, the text stability will also be of poor quality.
Both systems were synchronized by using GPS-locked reference signal generators and were operated to receive echoes simultaneously.
