The breed was formed from the European horses brought in with colonists, and the Morgans set themselves apart with unique characteristics from their ancestors.
When Park Horses became fashionable in the Arabian and Morgan breeds, the style of the horses created for competition changed drastically.
The data collected for the Morgan horses will be compared to a wide variety of breeds to determine differences and similarities of the Morgan to other horse breeds.

McCallister will positively identify by blood or DNA testing all Morgan horses transferring in or out of his name or which he causes to be transferred by any means.
It is interesting to note that four horses expunged from another registry as not purebred Morgans, are being DNA tested for breed, and while they don't fit the Foundation category, it appears they may be purebred Morgans.
